Green Oak ltd. Structures is a timber frame building company specialising in the Design and Construction of Oak Timber frames.(and Douglas Fir).

Based near Glastonbury in Somerset, established in 1998, and now with a yard near Falmouth, Oak timber frames can be made in Cornwall.

The Structural Frame is normally the extent of our involvement, and as the frames are hand built off-site, in the framing yard, and then delivered to site and erected, it is possible to undertake work from a broad distance. Our experienced heritage carpenters can also make timber repairs to existing buildings and traditionally jointed structures, such as to roof trusses, post and beam, and close studded, historic timber frames.

Our timber frame is traditionally jointed with the mortice and tenon, and tapered oak pegs that draw the joint together. With naturally curved diagonal bracing the structural timber frame can withstand wind and snow loading, like the Oak tree in it’s natural state.
